We Have a Vaccine for Adolescents Aged 13-16 that Prevents Cancer: Anahit Avanesyan
The informational campaign regarding vaccinations is yielding results in the prevention of infectious diseases. We recorded a vaccination rate of 95.1% for children aged one year and below in 2025, representing the highest rate since 2011. This was announced today by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a government meeting.
“Here, a certain change in the format of our work is also bearing fruit. Understanding the situation regarding the information and disinformation, we are paying significant attention to working with parents. We understand that raising informational resilience is very important in this matter,” stated the minister.
Regarding the vaccination against chickenpox, our goal is for our children to have stable immunity so that this disease, which causes significant obstacles to our activities, no longer results in outbreaks or cases in Armenia.
We are also ensuring the availability of vaccines necessary for our citizens traveling abroad in Armenia, and we provide international format certificates as well,” the minister announced.
