White House Calls Trump's Middle Finger Gesture Appropriate
The White House explained why U.S. President Donald Trump showed his middle finger to a worker. This was reported by The Washington Post.
The incident took place at a factory in Dearborn. In a video shot by one of the attendees on a mobile phone, Trump can be seen using two expletives directed at the worker on the production floor before showing him the middle finger.
White House Communications Director Stephen Chiu confirmed the video's authenticity and described the president's reaction as "appropriate and unequivocal." He stated that the employee had made offensive remarks towards the president.
Later, the 40-year-old factory worker claimed that he was the one who had used expletives directed at the President of the United States. He was suspended from work pending an investigation.
