Trump May Visit Venezuela
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced his plans to visit Venezuela in the future. He made this declaration during an interview with Reuters. He added that Venezuela’s presidential envoy Delsi Rodríguez also intends to visit the United States. Trump noted that “it’s very good to deal with him.”
Previously, the U.S. president stated that he had a wonderful conversation with Rodríguez, where they discussed a wide range of topics including oil, minerals, trade, and national security.
Earlier this January, the United States carried out a military operation in Venezuela, capturing and deporting President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. Trump accused them of “narcoterrorism.”
We previously reported that the U.S. has sold its first batch of Venezuelan oil for $500 million.
