New Decision on Government Salary System Announced by Avanesyan

Avanesyan noted that the new decision on government salary systems applies to the entire government structure. “I am surprised that you ask this question. Have you not recorded in the minutes of the government's decisions that a new decision has been made regarding salaries in the public sector, and this applies to the entire public system?” she said.

According to her, discussions preceded this decision with public sector employees, as the government faces the challenge of attracting and retaining qualified specialists. “We have a challenge to engage specialists in the public sector and maintain the resources that contribute to the country’s development,” the minister emphasized.

Avanesyan reminded that since 2017, the increase in the Republic of Armenia's budget reflects a doubling, tripling, or quadrupling of work, and this factor should also be reflected in the salaries of public servants. Speaking about the medical workers under her authority, she noted that there are doctors who receive such rewards within a month.
