Visa Liberalization Process Will Have Tangible Results for Armenia: Ambassador
Armenia and the European Union have made significant achievements and adopted a new strategic agenda that is already being implemented. This was stated by the EU Ambassador to Armenia, Vassilis Maragos, during the security forum titled “Armenia and Peace at the Intersection of Risks and Opportunities.”
“We already have several elements being implemented regarding the dialogue on EU visa liberalization for Armenian citizens. The visa liberalization process will have very specific and tangible results for Armenian citizens,” he noted.
“We have already presented the visa liberalization action plan in November, and in December we organized the first assessment mission to be able to present the first progress report as early as 2026. The migration service, the parliament, and all other involved entities are working to implement the action plan,” stated the EU ambassador.
“As a result of these reforms, it is the citizens who will benefit, and our bilateral movement opportunities will also expand when the decision for visa-free travel to the European Union is made,” Maragos emphasized.
