Denmark Supports the U.S. in Seizing Russian 'Mariner' Oil Tanker
Denmark has supported the United States in seizing the Russian 'Mariner' oil tanker in the Atlantic Ocean, reports Newsmax. This occurred despite the Trump administration's intention to acquire a portion of Denmark by connecting Greenland, a semi-autonomous territory of the Kingdom, to the U.S.
According to an American official, the efforts of NATO allies are crucial for the success of U.S. operations, making the cooperation between Denmark and the U.S. a standard practice within the North Atlantic alliance.
Despite this cooperation, Trump remains undeterred regarding his intentions concerning Greenland. He commented on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen's statement that the island wishes to remain part of Denmark: 'That's their issue. I do not agree with him. I don’t even know who he is. I know nothing about him,' Trump told reporters.
