This was organized crime: Mossad agents are on the streets of Iran, says ambassador

The protests began on December 28 in Tehran's marketplace due to fluctuations in the national currency and economic issues resulting from the Iranian government's decisions regarding the national currency. This was stated by Khalil Shirgolemin, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Iran to Armenia, during a press conference on January 14.

“The Iranian government has announced that the population has the right to protest and express their dissatisfaction, as enshrined in the Constitution. At the same time, the Iranian government is also obligated to ensure public safety. The police were instructed to guarantee security. Everything changed on January 9 when it became clear that the aim of the ongoing processes was similar to what has been done in Syria,” the ambassador noted.

He explained that a small group managed to seize the protests, which led to clashes and gunfire directed at both the police and civilians. “This was organized crime involving terrorist groups that were specially trained to kill people, as Trump stated that if people were killed, the United States would intervene. Israeli officials, as well as former U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo, have confirmed that Mossad agents are present on the streets of Iran,” Shirgolemin added.
