We Have Created an Opportunity for Soldiers to Have 21-30 Days of Leave: Papikyan
We have created an opportunity for soldiers to have 21-30 days of leave. This was announced by Defense Minister Suren Papikyan during a press conference.
He noted that this will be distributed proportionally. “If it pertained to previous servicemen for a period of 2 years, this year it will be 1.5 for those drafted this year. For soldiers serving on the border, there will be 30 days of leave, meaning that every 6 months a soldier will be able to go on leave for 10 days, and for other (rear) military units, it will be 21 days,” Papikyan said.
He also added that as a result of the reforms they have carried out, they have ensured that after the swearing-in ceremony, a soldier can have 2 days of leave. “A parent may not even need to come to the unit; the soldier will receive his two-day leave, go home, spend it with his relatives, and return to his main service as a full-fledged serviceman.”
