The Yerevan Metro also informs that starting from August 1, 2025, single-use paper QR codes will be phased out. The unified, modern ticketing system for public transportation will continue to function with several innovative payment options, including a transport card, contactless bank cards (from all banks in Armenia except VTB), and the Telcell Wallet mobile application. Passengers can also purchase an electronic QR ticket via a Telcell terminal, which will be transferred to their Telcell Wallet.
Transport cards can be obtained from payment terminals at metro stations or from Telcell service points. After acquiring the card, it is necessary to link it to a preferred ticket package through the website transport.yerevan.am or at Telcell terminals and service points.
