Ukrainian Rada Agrees to Zelensky's Proposal to Dismiss SBU Chief
The relevant committee of the Ukrainian Rada has supported, for the second time, the proposal to dismiss Vasyl Maliuk, the head of the country's Security Service. This was reported by Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak.
According to him, the Rada's Committee on Defense and National Security reviewed its previous decision and this time provided a positive conclusion to the initiative presented by the president. The corresponding information was published on the Telegram channel of MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak.
It is worth noting that earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted a draft decision to dismiss Maliuk to the Rada, but the same committee initially did not support this proposal. The committee has officially announced that the president's proposal has received the necessary backing. The next step is for the issue to be discussed and voted on in the plenary session of the Ukrainian Rada.
