Russia Strongly Supports Iran and Rejects Threats of New Military Strikes - Zakharova

Russia declares that it strongly supports the Islamic Republic of Iran and considers any foreign intervention in the country's internal affairs unacceptable. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to TASS.

“Western illegal sanctions are being used to turn social discontent in Iran into violent unrest, which is accompanied by the killings of law enforcement officers, employees, and peaceful citizens, including children,” Zakharova stated.

According to her, Moscow categorically rejects the threats of new military strikes against Iran, attempts to use externally inspired unrest as a pretext for aggression, as well as economic blackmail of Iran's partners through trade tariffs.
