Lawyer on Samvel Karapetyan's Health Condition

Businessman Samvel Karapetyan has suffered from bilateral pneumonia in a correctional facility, which had not been diagnosed. This statement was made by his lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan.

“Samvel Karapetyan visited a medical institution under house arrest, undergoing comprehensive medical examinations that he had not had for about seven months, and it turned out that he has bilateral pneumonia in a post-acute phase, which was diagnosed with a two-month history,” he stated.

The lawyer emphasized that they had repeatedly requested at least to heat Samvel Karapetyan’s cell, but it remained unheated. “He constantly had a cold, and ultimately bilateral pneumonia was diagnosed, and two days ago, he also tested positive for COVID, which has been quite severe with a dynamic progression,” added lawyer Aram Vardevanyan.
