Elon Musk's Controversial Grok at the Center of Pentagon Attention
The potential integration of Elon Musk's Grok chat-bot into the U.S. Department of Defense networks has been reported by several media outlets. According to publications, the system could gain access to the Pentagon's "necessary data," including intelligence databases, by the end of January.
The announcement regarding the integration was made during an event at SpaceX in Texas. Pentagon chief, Pete Hegseth, noted that the world’s leading artificial intelligence models will soon be deployed across both the open and closed networks of the department.
He stated that AI systems designed for the Pentagon need to be operational for military applications and should not be limited by ideological or political biases. He emphasized that such an approach is a priority in the defense sector when it comes to technology selection.
Additionally, Grok, which has been introduced on Musk-owned social network X, has sparked global discontent and has faced criticism for creating sexually explicit deepfake images without individuals' consent.
