Turkish Citizen Arrested in Batumi: Details

In Batumi, employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Adjara Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a Turkish citizen identified as J. K. (born in 1973), who was wanted under an Interpol red notice.

The individual was wanted for facts of deprivation of liberty and threats in the Republic of Turkey, and had been under a red notice since November 2025. Extradition procedures as stipulated by law are currently being carried out for the arrested individual, according to a statement from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
