Yerevan Deputy Mayor on Decisions of Catholicos Garegin II

Ktrich Nersisyan's removal of any clerical title or position is as illegitimate as the decrees of Samvel Shahramanyan, wrote Yerevan Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan.

Earlier, the Mother See announced that the leader of the Mashtots Diocese, Bishop Gevorg Saroyan, had been dismissed from his position as diocesan head by decree from Garegin II.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Ktrich Nersisyan is not the Catholicos of All Armenians and, therefore, the decisions made from that position hold no value and are null and void.
