Arsen Torosyan Responds to Criticism Regarding COVID-19
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia and a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, Arsen Torosyan, has reacted to the statements made by representatives of the 'My Way' movement, who claimed that the death rate from COVID-19 during his tenure as Minister of Health was very high in Armenia.
“We have actually seen how the representatives of that movement have managed an important, active Armenia, which has strategic significance, organizing inflated tenders at the Electricity Supply Company and through amendments. If they present themselves to our citizens with such a style six months later, they receive very clear answers, and they are also receiving those answers now. Those grandiose statements are hollow, especially when you compare them with their approach,” said Torosyan.
Speaking about the pandemic days, Torosyan recalled that Armenia responded to the epidemic both economically and health-wise in a way that many more developed countries could only dream of.
