The U.S. Knows What to Do Next, Says Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump responded to a journalist's question about the possibility of arresting Russian President Vladimir Putin following a "Venezuelan scenario" during a meeting with executives from oil and gas companies at the White House.

He commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement regarding the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who said, "If you can treat dictators that way, then the U.S. knows what to do next." Trump, in response to the question, declared that he does not believe such action is necessary.

"We have always had a great relationship with him. I am very disappointed. I’ve resolved eight wars. I thought this would be of medium complexity or perhaps the simplest one. In the last month, they have lost 31,000 people, many of whom were Russian soldiers, and the Russian economy is in a terrible state. I think in the end we will sort everything out," Trump said.
