Ruben Rubinyan: Ktrich Nersisyan Cannot Dismiss Bishop Gevorg from Office

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, stated on Facebook that Bishop Gevorg Saroyan will continue to serve as the head of the Masisaitzotni Diocese.

"Ktrich Nersisyan cannot dismiss Bishop Gevorg from the position of diocese leader, as Ktrich Nersisyan is not a catholicos. Therefore, Bishop Gevorg continues his role as the head of the Masisaitzotni Diocese. Meanwhile, Ktrich Nersisyan remains a servant of disorder and betrayal and must rid the monastery of his unlawful presence," Rubinyan wrote.

Earlier, the Mother See had announced that Bishop Gevorg Saroyan had been relieved of his position as the head of the diocese by a decree from Garegin II.
