Bishop Gevorg Saroyan Removed from His Position as Diocesan Leader

On January 10, under the Patriarchal directive of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Bishop Gevorg Saroyan has been relieved of his duties as the diocesan leader of the Diocese of Mashtots.

The decision was based on instances of the leader's abuse of authority, failure to fulfill responsibilities, and exerting coercion and pressure on the clergy of the diocese.

Additionally, under the same Patriarchal directive, Venerable Father Ruben Zargaryan has been appointed as the acting diocesan leader of the Diocese of Mashtots.
