Trump Announces US Has Canceled Second Attack on Venezuela
US President Donald Trump has announced that Venezuela is cooperating with the United States, which is why he has canceled the second wave of attacks on the country. The American leader made this statement on his Truth Social page.
"The US and Venezuela are cooperating very well, so I have canceled the previously anticipated second wave of attacks," Trump said in his post.
It is worth recalling that on January 3, the US carried out airstrikes against Venezuela, with explosions occurring in the capital Caracas and at the Fort Tiuna military base. After the attacks, US President Donald Trump deemed the operation a success and stated that American forces had captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.
The White House president emphasized that Maduro is "no longer president" and that the US will take control of Venezuela "until a transition of power occurs."
