Moscow to Supply Gas to Iran via Azerbaijani Territory

Moscow and Tehran have resolved nearly all issues related to the supply of Russian gas to Iran, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali stated in an interview with TASS at the end of the year.

“Another important area of our bilateral relations is the supply of Russian gas to Iran, which is in its final phase and nearing completion,” he noted.

The ambassador pointed out that most issues related to the construction of the Rasht-Astara railway segment have been resolved for 2025.

“Currently, there are obstacles to this segment of the project. The main issue, regarding land acquisition, will be fully resolved by the end of March this year,” Jalali added.
