The U.S. is Distancing Itself from Allies: Emmanuel Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has warned that during Donald Trump’s presidency, the United States is 'liberating itself from international rules' and is 'gradually distancing' itself from certain allies.

'Multilateral institutions are functioning less and less effectively,' Macron said in his annual speech to French ambassadors, as reported by AFP.

'We are living in a world of great powers where there is a real temptation to divide the world,' he emphasized.
