As of January 8, 2026, 8,485 Tons of Russian Grain Entered Armenia via Azerbaijani Territory: Papoyan
As of 2025, a total of 6,580 tons of grain entered Armenia through Azerbaijani territory via railway, including 1,000 tons from Kazakhstan and 5,580 tons from Russia, alongside 1,210 tons of Azerbaijani gasoline. This information was reported by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.
According to Papoyan, as of January 8, 2026, a total of 8,485 tons of Russian grain has entered Armenia via Azerbaijani territory, with an additional 4,103 tons currently en route. Furthermore, 7,600 tons of Azerbaijani oil products are also on the way, which includes 6,100 tons of gasoline and 1,500 tons of diesel.
“As I mentioned previously, a price drop of up to 80 drams per liter for gasoline and diesel is expected compared to last month's prices. I am pleased to inform you that, in light of these developments, other oil product selling companies are also working towards lowering prices,” he stated.
