Iran's Supreme National Security Council Issues Statement

The authorities of the Islamic Republic have stated that Israel and the United States are responsible for the unrest occurring in Iran.

“Although the recent disturbances began with protests against economic instability, the Zionist enemy (Israel) has directed them towards destabilizing the country. The latest statements by U.S. President Donald Trump only confirm the conspiracy of the two regimes, which seek to undermine the foundations of the Iranian people. The Iranian people demonstrated their unity [against Israel] in the 12-day war, forcing the enemy to accept a strategic defeat. Today, with the same unity, we will thwart all their destructive plans,” the statement from Iran's Supreme National Security Council reads.
