Iran's Ambassador in Russia Warns Western Countries
Western countries should not interfere in the internal and external political processes of the Caspian Sea countries, said Iran's ambassador in Russia.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized the necessity of maintaining the framework of cooperation exclusively among the five countries. Tehran's approach, as well as Moscow's, is based on the principle that the security and management of the Caspian Sea's resources should be carried out by the Caspian Sea states, without the interference of regional or external powers,” said Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador in Moscow.
The diplomat noted that to implement this approach, the five Caspian Sea countries are developing several areas of cooperation. He also highlighted the importance of establishing a unified legal framework for cooperation.
