Father Poghos Mikhailyan Joins the Statement Accepted by the Prime Minister and Ten Bishops

Father Poghos Mikhailyan has joined the statement on the reform of the Armenian Apostolic Church accepted by the Prime Minister of Armenia and ten bishops.

"I, Father Poghos Mikhailyan, welcome the statement on the reform of the Armenian Apostolic Church accepted by the Prime Minister and ten bishops, and I support and join the statement on the reform," he stated.

Earlier, it was reported that Father Mkrtich Mushadyan, Father Mashtots Stepanyan, and Father Movses Ashuryan are also joining the initiative for the church reform.

It should be recalled that just days ago, the Prime Minister announced the formation of a coordinating council, responsible for the organizational functions of the reform of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The composition of this council may be expanded with the unanimity of the coordinating council.

The head of the state has called upon the people and the clergy to join the agenda for the reform of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
