Black Ice on the Highways of the Republic

As of 9:00 AM on January 9, snow is falling in the regions of Ashotik and Amasia. This has been reported by the Road Department.

The Ketti and Jajur mountain passes are difficult to navigate for vehicles with trailers. There are spots of black ice on the highways in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotik, and Amasia.

All interstate and national significance highways are open. Road construction crews are carrying out snow removal and treatment with salt and sand on the highways.
