Americans Detain Another Russian Tanker

Americans have detained yet another tanker belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet." This is the oil tanker "Olina." The ship had previously left Venezuela and returned to the region using a false East Timorese flag.

The tanker was transporting Russian oil and was involved in the export of oil and petroleum products from ports in the Baltic and Black Seas, as well as from the Far East, primarily to China, India, and Turkey. The vessel is subject to sanctions imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, and the EU.
