Unified Conditions for Regular Technical Inspection of Vehicles to be Established

A resolution has been approved regarding the draft presidential decree on ratifying the agreement on the "Periodic Technical Inspection of Motor Vehicles" signed on November 13, 1997.

The purpose of the agreement is to establish unified conditions for the periodic technical inspection of vehicles, ensuring their roadworthiness, improving safety, reducing environmental impact, and facilitating mutual recognition of inspection systems among member countries.

The agreement will enable the enhancement of road safety through standardized inspections of vehicles, ensuring compliance with essential safety criteria. It aims to facilitate cross-border mobility and trade by mutually recognizing technical inspections of vehicles with other countries, improving vehicle servicing through the adoption of internationally recognized technical standards, and reducing the risk of accidents, ultimately leading to cost savings over time and adopting unified emission standards in an effort to reduce air pollution.
