Trump Signs Memorandum to Withdraw the U.S. from 66 International Organizations including UN-affiliated Agencies
U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum directing the United States to withdraw from 66 international organizations that, according to a White House statement, no longer serve American interests.
According to the memorandum, all executive departments and agencies will cease participation and funding for 35 organizations not affiliated with the UN and 31 UN entities that are deemed contrary to U.S. national interests, security, economic prosperity, or sovereignty.
This action is noted to halt the allocation of American taxpayer funds to organizations and initiatives that promote globalist agendas at the expense of U.S. priorities, or that ineffectively address critical issues, thereby allowing taxpayer resources to be more effectively distributed to support pertinent missions.
