Nikol Pashinyan Issues a Statement

A meeting of the Armenian Apostolic Church's Renovation Council has taken place. The Council held its first session, during which the key directions for the Church's renovation process, organizational steps, and upcoming work frameworks were discussed based on the principles and objectives outlined in the founding declaration.

The Council emphasized the importance of implementing the process with principles of inclusivity, public trust, transparency, and accountability, highlighting the necessity of actions aimed at uniting clergy and laity. The Council welcomed the decision of the acting leader of the Armenian Diocese of Switzerland, Gusan Senior Priest Alchanyan, to join the renovation declaration and roadmap of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Gusan Senior Priest Alchanyan will participate in the next Council meeting.

During the meeting, actions aimed at the smooth implementation of the roadmap were discussed, and necessary decisions were made,” wrote Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
