Emergency Calls Decrease by 30% Compared to Last Year During Holiday Period: Grigoryan
This year, the number of emergency calls during the holiday period has decreased by 30% compared to last year, said Ruben Grigoryan, director of the Emergency Medical Services Company, in an interview with MediaHub.
“Previously, we used to register 1100-1200 calls per day, whereas this year the number of calls has been within the range of 800-900. The majority of calls were recorded for acute respiratory infections,” noted Grigoryan.
According to him, on December 31, January 1, and 2, there were 16 calls registered with a preliminary diagnosis of fractures, of which 14 were hospitalized.
“The main calls were registered with a diagnosis of acute respiratory infections; there were also calls for high blood pressure, and we had 14 cases of alcohol poisoning with a preliminary diagnosis, 5 of which were hospitalized,” added Ruben Grigoryan, the director of the Emergency Medical Services Company.
