U.S. Military Intervention in Venezuela Weakens Third World War Prevention, Says UN
The U.S. military intervention in Venezuela undermines the architecture of international security, according to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk, as reported by The Guardian.
“This military intervention, by violating Venezuela's sovereignty and the UN Charter, damages the architecture of international security and makes every country less safe,” said Volker Turk.
The newspaper reports that this weakens the only mechanism for preventing a third world war—the United Nations.
