Turkey Does Not Approve of U.S. Actions, Says Erdogan
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Turkey does not approve of actions that violate international law. During a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, Erdogan presented Ankara's position regarding the developments in Venezuela.
Erdogan emphasized that "Turkey and its people will continue to stand by the friendly people of Venezuela, supporting efforts towards the welfare and growth of the country's residents. Maduro and the Venezuelan people have repeatedly affirmed that they are friends of Turkey."
He noted that "Turkey and Venezuela, as two friendly nations, have prioritized solidarity, especially during difficult times for our countries."
"Violations of state sovereignty rights and, in general, norms of international law are risky actions that could lead to serious complications on a global scale. In a world where the law of the strong prevails over legality, instability, crises, and conflicts are inevitable. Turkey does not approve of any action that contradicts international law," emphasized the Turkish President.
