The War Between Azerbaijan and Armenia Has Ended: We Are Now Learning What It Means to Live in Peace - Aliyev
For several months now, we have been living in conditions of peace and learning how to live in peace. This was stated by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
“The past year can truly be considered historic, because it was in 2025 that the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia ended, and we have been living in peace for several months now. We are learning what it means to live in peace. Azerbaijan has politically consolidated its brilliant victory on the battlefield and ranks first in the world. This, undoubtedly, will be one of the most memorable events in our history of independence, I would say, one of the most important. In this sense, the past year can be seen as very successful and historic for our country and our people, and I am confident that from now on, the Azerbaijani people will live in peace,” said the President of Azerbaijan.
Aliyev also stated that 2025 can be considered a historic year in the context of Azerbaijani-American relations.
“The 907th section, which was adopted as a result of the activities of anti-Azerbaijani forces and the Armenian lobby in America, hindered the establishment of extensive relations between the USA and Azerbaijan, but this limitation no longer exists. Of course, there are two main reasons for this: the first is the official end of the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the second is that in America the Trump administration is in power. This administration is very pragmatic, very professional, and its members, led by the president, are well aware of America's national interests,” said the President of Azerbaijan in an interview with local television channels.
