Peace on Earth: Trump Comments on Operations in Venezuela

US President Donald Trump has stated that the operation in Venezuela led to "peace on Earth." In response to a reporter's question, "Mr. President, if you had to summarize the 'Absolute Resolve' operation, would you say it was about oil or regime change?" Trump replied, "It’s about peace on Earth."

Trump emphasized, "Peace on Earth. We need to have peace. This is our hemisphere. The Monroe Doctrine was very important when it was adopted, but other presidents—many of them—forgot about it. I did not. I have not lost it. But the reality is that it is peace on Earth."
