Electricity Supply Restored to Residents Affected by Fire at Varashan Substation
The Armenia Electric Networks (AEN) has announced that electricity supply has been restored to all addresses that were affected by the fire at the Varashan 110/35/6 kV substation.
In a statement, the company expressed gratitude to its emergency response teams and all professional units for their tireless work over nearly two continuous days without interruption. They also appealed for public understanding and patience regarding the situation.
It is recalled that earlier, AEN had reported that as a result of the fire, entire neighborhoods in Yerevan had lost power.
Additionally, AEN's acting director Romanos Petrosyan previously stated: "Hundreds of AEN specialists have done monumental work for about 44 hours without a single minute of rest, implementing significant post-accident, installation, and adjustment works to restore power supply as quickly as possible to all addresses that were cut off due to the major energy-technical accident that occurred the day before."
