HETZ Issues Statement on Power Outages

The Electricity Networks of Armenia Company has informed its subscribers about the situation regarding power outages. The fire in the 6 kV closed distribution equipment at the ‘Vardashen’ 110/35/6 kV Substation has completely rendered 23 6 kV cells out of service, along with the operational power and voltage protection equipment.

Throughout last night and during the upcoming night, the operational repair crew of HETZ will conduct intensive work on restoring electricity supply to the areas affected by the fire at the ‘Vardashen’ 110/35/6 kV Substation. Currently, the work to dismantle burnt and old equipment is underway, and from early morning, they will begin transporting and installing new equipment, as well as checking and regulating the supplying cables.

As a result, it is anticipated that by approximately 22:00, the electricity supply to all addresses that are still without power will be restored.
