China and Armenia Relations Make Significant Progress in 2025, Says Ambassador

The Ambassador of China to Armenia, Li Xinwei, has noted significant progress in the relations between Armenia and China over the past year, expressing hope that the Armenian-Chinese relationship will develop even further in 2026.

“Looking back towards 2025, we see that China has continued to develop, bringing benefits to the whole world. The 4th plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was successfully held, during which the ‘15th Five-Year Plan’ was adopted, creating a new framework for modernization based on the Chinese model.

By 2025, the relations between China and Armenia have made substantial progress. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited China and participated in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the war against Japan. China and Armenia have established a strategic partnership, elevating bilateral relations to a new level. Cooperation has become closer across all sectors, and the number of exchanges between people has reached record levels.

Armenia's membership in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has opened up new opportunities for joint activities in the fields of infrastructure and investment,” said the Chinese ambassador.
