Public Criminal Prosecution Against Vardan Ghukasyan Will Be Terminated

Vardan Ghukasyan's lawyer, Aramais Hayrapetyan, has announced that a decision has been made by the Investigative Committee of Armenia to terminate the public criminal prosecution against Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan under part 2 of Article 422 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, based on the grounds of non-commitment of the alleged act.

Additionally, it was decided that public criminal prosecution would not be initiated against Vardan Ghukasyan under part 2, point 2 of Article 329 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, also based on the non-commitment of the alleged act.

Earlier, it was reported that the case against Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan regarding alleged calls against the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia would be dismissed. This was stated by lawyer Zarouhi Postanjyan.
