Yerevan Recognized as One of the Leading Cities in the Region for New Lighting

This year, the replacement of sodium streetlights with energy-saving and efficient new LED lights has been completed, positioning Yerevan as one of the leading cities in the region in this regard.

• 12,021 energy-saving LED lights have been installed on 82 streets.
• About 35 parks, courtyard areas, culturally protected sites, and community infrastructure have been illuminated.
• All statues in Yerevan have been lit up.
• A total of 54 kilometers of overhead cable networks have been replaced.
• 276 power cabinets have been replaced.
• A digital management module has been installed in the external lighting network.
• A new network of approximately 29 kilometers has been constructed.
• Works are ongoing on Abovyan and Nalbandyan streets as part of the program for creating underground communications for surface transport and electricity transmission networks in Yerevan. The cables are being laid underground.
