They Want Armenia to Remain Blockaded and Become Poor: Rubinyan
Today, Ruben Rubinyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, asserted that a Russian businessman’s relative has falsely claimed that "Azerbaijan opened the Armenian theater in Yerevan five days ago."
Rubinyan stated, "The Russian businessman's team is lying, as that theater has not opened five days ago, but has been functioning in Baku since 1989 and obtained its 'state' status in Azerbaijan in 1994. It also operated between 2008 and 2018 when the businessman’s brother, the relative's father, was leading the Republican Party faction, was the head of Serzh Sargsyan's administration, and was an MP, yet he never said a word on this topic. Why are the Russian businessman’s associates lying like this? The reason is very simple: They are playing on your fears. They want to devalue the peace we have achieved with great difficulty. They want Armenia to continue being blockaded and to become poor, while they continue to enrich themselves alongside their ancient partners, Kocharian and Sargsyan," the parliamentarian wrote.
