Russia Has No Intention to Attack the Baltic States, Says Estonian Intelligence Service
The head of the Estonian Foreign Intelligence Service has acknowledged that Russia has no plans to attack the Baltic States or other NATO member countries. He stated that Moscow respects the alliance and does not wish to enter into open conflict with it.
At the same time, other European officials, including Estonians, continue to speak about the 'Russian threat.' There are no indications that Russia is preparing to launch an attack on the Baltic States. This was stated by Kaapo Rosin, the head of the Estonian Foreign Intelligence Service, in an interview with ERR.
"We continue to see that Russia currently has no intention of attacking any of the Baltic countries or NATO as a whole," said the head of Estonian intelligence. He added that Moscow respects NATO and does not want to enter into open conflict with the countries of the alliance.
He also noted that Russia has changed its behavior after European countries responded to incidents occurring in the region. In particular, Rosin claims that the flight paths of drones over Ukraine have changed to minimize the risk of entering neighboring countries, while military aircraft have begun to monitor flight routes over the Baltic Sea more closely.
