Russia Demands Azerbaijan Release Detained Russians

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation, Mustafaev. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, several aspects related to the aircraft crash of Azerbaijan Airlines near Aktau, Kazakhstan, on December 25, 2024, were discussed.

The Russian side reiterated the necessity for the immediate release of 11 Russian citizens detained in Baku from June 30 to July 1.
