Increased Surveillance Continues: Ministry of Internal Affairs Issues Warning
The Patrol Service continues to carry out increased surveillance on the country's roads. This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“From December 28 to 29, police checked the tires of 1,655 vehicles across the republic, and administrative violation reports were drafted for 180 of them. Patrol Service employees also checked the tires of vehicles involved in traffic accidents. During this period, there were 274 traffic incidents in the republic. Among the 520 vehicles involved in these incidents, only 10 were found to have non-winter tires,” the announcement stated.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again urges the public to adhere to traffic rules and to use exclusively winter tires for vehicle operation. Strict enforcement will continue,” it added.
