Forecast for January Weather Revealed

The average monthly temperature for January is expected to be 1-2 degrees higher, while the precipitation will remain within normal limits, stated the deputy director of the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center during a press conference.

According to him, a slightly warmer and adequately rainy January is anticipated. "The first ten days of January will experience a contradictory thermal backdrop. Our country will be under the influence of Arctic cold currents, especially during January 3-4. On these days, temperatures throughout Armenia will drop by 8-10 degrees. This cold current is expected to linger in Armenia until January 8," he added. "In the second and third decades of January, predominantly tropical warm currents from the southwest will prevail in the country."
