Visitors Evacuated from Zoo in Japan Due to Escaped Wolf

Visitors at the Tama Zoo in Tokyo, Japan were evacuated due to a wolf that escaped from its enclosure, reports Kyodo News Agency.

“The wolf fled in the western part of Tokyo, forcing visitors to flee to buildings and other areas,” the agency reported.

A zoo staff member spotted the wolf on a pathway shortly after the zoo opened. The wolf was later found in the bushes within the zoo grounds.

For safety reasons, entrance has been closed to visitors. There are no reports of injuries.

According to the latest information, the animal has been captured.
