In One Day, 237 Traffic Accidents Occurred in the Republic: Police Spokesperson

The formation of a safe environment for the life and health of citizens is one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In this context, and taking into account the weather conditions, the Patrol Service has strengthened its monitoring on the roads. This was announced by the spokesperson for the Minister of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, on his Facebook page.

"On December 27 alone, the patrols inspected the tires of 1,240 vehicles, and administrative violation protocols were drawn up for 129 of them. The Patrol Service also checked the tires of vehicles involved in traffic accidents. On December 27, a total of 237 traffic accidents occurred in the republic, and there were no casualties reported. Among the 471 vehicles involved in these incidents, only 5 had summer tires and 1 had all-season tires. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges everyone to adhere to traffic rules and to drive vehicles equipped solely with winter tires. Strict enforcement will continue,” wrote Sargsyan.
