Dilijan's Serpentines and Vardenyats Pass Closed for Trucks with Trailers

The Rescue Service reports that the roads in the territory of Armenia are mainly passable.

The roads leading from the high mountainous weather station "Amberd" in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and the Qari Lake are closed. The roads from the Jermuk intersection to the area known as "Janger," Noravan-Ltsen-Tatev, Shinumayr-Tatev-Kapan, Dilijan's serpentines, and the Vardenyats Pass are closed for trucks with trailers.

Snow is falling in the regions of Masis, Artashat, Ararat, Yeghgnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Meghri, Abovyan, Sevan, Dilijan, Ijevan, Gavar, Martuni, and Vardenis. Drivers are urged to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Regarding Lars, according to the information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Situations Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepanmtsinda-Lars road is closed for trucks.
