A strong eruption has been recorded on the Sun, marking the most intense event since December 8. The eruption's power reached nearly 50 percent of the maximum X-class threshold. The peak of the eruption was detected at 05:50 Yerevan time.

The information was provided by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Scientists had warned a day earlier that an increase in solar flaring activity could be expected in the coming days.
